Missing or Lost Confirmation Email

Confirming your email address is necessary to make sure that you can receive communication regarding your account and replies to your ads. If your confimation email has not been recieved or has been lost, follow these steps:

1. Check to make sure it was not filtered by spamguard.
Email is often filtered for unwanted or unsolicited emails by your email service provider, your computer's security system, or both. This is sometimes referred to as "spamguard" or "antispam". Mail from senders which are not explicitly added to a trusted senders list is often blocked, or placed in a SPAM, BULK MAIL, or QUARANTINE folder. If you did not receive a confirmation email, be sure to check for it there.

2. Ensure that you will be able to receive future emails by adding "searchfortheperfecthorse.com" to your trusted senders list (sometimes called a whitelist). If you are not sure how to do this, ask your service provider, or read your computer's documentation.

3. Request another confirmation email to be sent to you. Click on the Log In button. Enter your username and password and click Log In. (Be sure to use the same username and password that you registered with). Follow the instructions to have another confirmation email sent to you.

Photo Help

Upload Image - JPG Image Files Only

When uploading files for Search for the Perfect Horse you will only be able to use JPG files that are LESS THAN 200KB from your computer to our server.

A 200KB file allows a generous sized photo of your horse, without taking too long to load in the viewer's browser.

Edit Your Photos

If your file size is too large, please use a photo editing software to reduce the file size. Each software is different but some common methods for reducing file size include cropping, resizing (scaling and/or changing resolution), and adjusting image quality (compression). Please refer to your photo editing software's user guide for more information.

Crop Photo

To CROP a photo you will need reduce the border around your horse's photo in order to eliminate most of the background area. Then resave your cropped image as a JPEG or JPG file.

Resolution

If your photos are print quality, they may be saved at a high resolution, such as 300 pixels per inch or more. Reducing the resolution to 72 pixels per inch will reduce the file size without negatively affecting screen quality.

Quality

The JPG/JPEG image will then need to be saved as a MEDIUM OR MEDIUM-HIGH QUALITY image. Sometimes this if referred to as compression. A maximum quality (uncompressed) JPG image is too large for the browser to accept and the file will be too large to upload to Search for the Perfect Horse. 200 KB is the largest file that can be uploaded.

Photo Dimensions

Your photo will be automatically resized by our system if the height or width are too large. Thumbnail images will be created automatically to show in the search results pages.
Mail Photo

If you have a photo that is non-JPG or too large and are unable to reformat it, mail the photo to the address below. Your photo will be uploaded for your ad at no extra charge.

When MAILING YOUR PHOTO to Search for the Perfect Horse please include:
Horse name and ID#, your name, address and self-addressed stamped envelope - to return your photo.
Photo will not be returned unless you follow these instructions. If you need further instructions or customer service, please contact us here.
